Many. many, many years ago the Bishop of my former church used to say..."many hands make light work!" Many from the congregation and/or myself would agree and would be eager to assist. There was a synergy when we worked together on the same page. Today, it is tough to rally people to contribute. I wonder why? It seems as though some either want to do everything themselves and on the other hand some do not pitch in at all. Maybe it's about patience or humility to ask for help. How do we work this out together? Someone needs to be the task master right? Should we be proactive or wait for an invitation? What helps people to engage? One has to wonder, is it a laziness, pride, fear or waiting for better or bigger tasks to undertake? Could it be a little of all of the above? In God's Kingdom there is order, there are levels and classes. The world did adapt government, kingdoms and principalities from heaven's perspective. It is written: the first shall become last and the last will become first. Also, when much is given, much is required, we are called to be good stewards, and we are also to be generous and cheerful givers and last, but not least, carrying each other's burdens and anticipating someone's needs is a good sign of a servant's heart.
Let's start a new discussion in the forum shall we? Ok, see you there!
