Fear of the Lord [part 1]

The Fear of the LORD is one of the seven Spirits that make up the Holy Spirit.

Like in Isaiah 11:2.  The Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding work in a pair - The Spirit of Knowledge and the Fear of the LORD, another pair and The Spirit of Counsel and Might.

Each have a color.

Red: wisdom.

Orange: Counsel.

Yellow: Knowledge.

Green: The Spirit of the Lord (Jesus)

Light Blue: The Fear of the Lord.

Dark Blue: Might.

Purple: Understanding.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

Proverbs 9:10

Then a Shoot (the Messiah) will spring from the stock of Jesse [David’s father],

And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.

And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—

The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

The Spirit of counsel and strength,

The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord—

And He will delight in the fear of the Lord,

And He will not judge by what His eyes see,

Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Fearing the Lord, is where we start, because it takes time to get to know God.

We get this reverence and anxious fear mixed up all the time and I wonder if God does use it interchangeably here. Why? We usually fear what we do not know…so in God’s wisdom, I think He is saying here “fear Me”, this is the beginning of knowledge and understanding… start here. You have free will to keep going, and I want you to trust Me, but start here.  If you don’t start here, there are serious consequences.  Would we have reverence for something that we don’t believe in?

Then as we spend time in worship, prayer, reading God’s Word, meditating and applying what we learn - so receiving wisdom, understanding and getting knowledge of the Holy One - like waiting on the Lord to download wisdom?

However, I now wonder how does the Holy Spirit revel Himself to us, it is in these seven different Spirits of the Holy Spirit?  I know when I see certain colors in a vision that it is these things that the Holy Spirit is pointing towards.  I tend to see purple the most, although I have seen other colors like light blue, green, dark blue, only a few times have I seen red, orange or yellow.

I am still waiting on the Lord for more clarity, but this hit me so hard when I went back to read Proverbs 9:10. Does any of this resonate with someone else?

I was hearing about The Fear of the LORD the last several months in various church services.  Then in the last few weeks or more I have been hearing more about the Lord wanting to share His strategies and wisdom with His sons and daughters. The Spirit of the Lord is pertaining to Jesus (it shall rest on Him)

Beloved,

I believe that as we as we grow and mature and spend more time with the Father, seek His kingdom first, love Him with all our soul, mind, heart and strength…the more we receive revelation of His mysteries and then the Holy Spirit directs us. When we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and revere Him in the honor and glory that He solely deserves; that is produced from faith. One who knows the Father, believes in Him and that is what pleases Him. When we are hunger and thirst after His righteousness; we will draw near Him and He will draw near.  God desires to share with us gifts of the Spirit and many other mysteries. Are you ready to ask the LORD to find out more?

I want to encourage all of us to go deeper in revelation and seeking the Lord! Amen.
