It’s tough to navigate our walk as Christ Followers for many reasons. Without getting into too much about doctrines, denominations, versions of the Bible and all the other divisive conversations these days. I want to keep it simple. I want to share about Jesus Messiah and why His love and power is transformative. If we are not careful we will build up our own empires instead of trusting GOD, through our manmade programs. What we need is to learn and continually remind ourselves is to stay dependent and totally trust GOD. We need to get back to basics and the truth about what is in the Bible. The things that worked for us in past seasons are not going to work anymore, and if we are not careful we will miss what GOD is doing right now. The best way to ensure we are in alignment with GOD is spending time with Him. Read the Bible for yourself and pause to see if you are understanding what He wants you to perceive in that moment.
Revelation and understanding of the verses we read comes from the Holy Spirit. Why is it when someone mentions the Holy Spirit, people start with the heretic comments? Do you understand that the forces of darkness want to keep us in confusion and GOD does not. GOD is Spirit. GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit have always been, they were not created and they are all One Triune GOD. If GOD never changes, neither does His Spirit. So, are you tracking with me? Who wants to control what we learn? Why do they want to control it?
Deception along with all forms of lying comes from the father of lies, satan himself. Lucifer is a fallen angel, and when he fell he took a 1/3rd of the angels with him (forces of darkness.) Satan wants to steal, kill and destroy…us! He wants our loved ones and those we are trying to spread the gospel to as well. Satan is a title, he is the accuser of the brethren. There are many lies, half truths (still lies), different forms of deception floating around and if we don’t ask for the discernment of spirits we will fall into that trap of lies. Or worse. So, how do we learn how to read the Bible and hear from the Holy Spirit?
Well, if you already hear from the Holy Spirit you might be able to help me as well. We are always dependent on GOD and we need each other, since we are always learning. However, if you need help in this area I would love to have conversations about this. This maybe a good segue, since this is the reason why I founded Prudent Peers. My desire is cut through all the confusion, to have the tough dialogue so that we could begin healing, restoration, end the division in the body of Christ. There are too many who don’t know Jesus as their LORD and Savior and are perishing without the saving knowledge of Christ. We all need to spend time with the LORD, be still and learn how to hear His voice, be obedient and out of that obedience we ultimately flourish as a Christ Followers and step into our destinies.
I care deeply that believers (and non-believers alike)
have a place to ask questions, learn what it means to live for Christ, how do we show mercy, love one another, wash others’ feet, yielding to the Spirit, so we know when and how the LORD wants us to serve and so on. The thing is many believers think they have to help everyone, not only is that not feasible; the freeing news is we are not called to help everyone. Each of us have certain gifts, skills, strengths and weaknesses and that all comes into play with our purposes.
Some may be in rural places, off grid or downtown/urban areas ministering to homeless, caring for them, feeding them and getting them into warm homes. Some may be called to the marketplace to evangelize and share about who Jesus Christ is to them and how His love transformed their lives. Some are called to prison or hospital ministries. Some are called to be parents, guardians or caregivers. There are many areas that the LORD will need co-laborers to minister. He foreknew what each of our destinies were/are and when we discover them we will be fulfilled because we will be thriving in a lifestyle that we were born for! It’s not what we do, it’s who we are!
It’s about being transformed by the truth and the inner workings of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 13:3-7 demonstrates that love is about caring for others more than ourselves. The Father also wants to give His children His kingdom. Our blessings come when we trust and obey GOD. He knows what we need, when we need it. He is a good good Father. He knows what He put in us and where He wanted us to go, long before we were knitted in our mothers’ wombs. That right there is AWE-some to me. So, I want to help you explore and discover all that GOD has for you beloved. If you are interested in finding out more information please visit prudentpeers.com. I look forward to hearing from you. LORD bless you and keep you, may He shine His face upon you. LORD be gracious toward you and bring you peace. Amen
